28 December

One did give Mr Dashwood a present he liked: This portrait, which now hangs in the dining room.

27 December

Another present from Mr Dashwood: This lovely landscape by a local artist.

26 December

Another of one's presents from Mr Dashwood: A new man to help clean Robertshaw Manor. His name is Roman.

25 December

One was very pleased with one's Christmas presents. A TRIP TO LAS VEGAS TO SEE CHER IN CONCERT! (One will be listing more of one's presents in the future.)

Mr Dashwood loved the tailored shirt he received from Lady Dashwood, and tried it on for size.

Then dinner. Eleven at our table, including the venerable Miss Knightly, Miss Cartier and her beau, and many other close acquaintances.

24 December

Miss Ayla Dashwood studies a visitor to the manor grounds with great interest.

23 December

This beautiful pillow makes Robertshaw Manor look even more stately.

One quarrelled with Sir Wayne, which was most vexing.

22 December

After a frenzy of gift-giving, one's friends at the club (and Farmer O'Meany) appeared pleased with their presents.

21 December

On their way to the Burgermeister's house, Briar and Gunc encountered a succubus who tried to kill them. She was beheaded for her efforts.
After a fight with a white (but very young) dragon, our heroes prevailed, and saved Christmas for Helmsburg.

20 December

It appears I have been quite busy.
These stockings I made look very festive against our fireplace.

19 December

Miss Knightly and Miss Basingstoke came to visit tonight, and I attempted their portraits.
It is difficult, given one's meager talents, to capture the beauty and vivacity of these two exemplary ladies.

18 December

Today was Sir Wayne's birthday, and he appeared delighted with the gift I made for him.

17 December

Our club luncheon was very much the usual affair, with equal parts awkwardness, ridiculousness, and hilarity, with brief flashes of ennui.

16 December

Feverishly at work on presents.

Thursday, December 16, 2010

15 December

There are now even more presents under the Christmist Tree.

December 14

Briar and Gunc were making their way to Helmsburg on December the 24th when they ran into Nicolas, a mysterious and jolly dwarven sorcerer. He explained that his flying sleigh had crashed because of a spell cast by the Burgermeister of Helmsburg.
None of the children in the town would get their presents, so Gunc and Briar offered to go and speak to the Burgermeister. After a number of run-ins with Orcs, and a terrifying frost monster, our two adventurers were making their way to the Burgermeister's house.

December 13

I have begun work on the Christmas present for a dear friend of mine from the club. The name of this dearly treasured Lady - as well as the nature of her gift - shall remain a secret until she has been presented with it.

12 December

I met two lovely artists today at their studio. Secrecy forbids my telling any more.

Sunday, December 12, 2010

11 December

Although Farmer O'Meany has recently displayed a shocking lack of decorum and good manners, I have taken it upon myself to complete his Christmas present.

10 December

With Mr Dashwood out of town visiting a childhood friend, I decided upon a self-portrait.

Friday, December 10, 2010

9 December

Mr Dashwood and I were invited to the Seattle Art Museum, and we toured a retrospect of Picasso's work, but not before I made a little art of my own.

8 December

Zak returned to model this week.

7 December

Mr Dashwood's birthday today.
I gave him these flowers, as well as a gift certificate for a facial/body scrub, and yoga.

Monday, December 6, 2010

6 December

Was it Venus that shone so dazzlingly in the morning sky as Mr Dashwood and I made our way across the lake to the club?

I spent the afternoon gathering Mr Dashwood's birthday gifts in preparation for his special day tomorrow.

Sunday, December 5, 2010

5 December

The Dovers had us to their home for supper. When Mr Dashwood and I returned home, we marvelled at our lovely Yule tree.

4 December

Mr Dashwood and I witnessed the Harry Potter exhibit in town, then took in a show and supped with Miss Cartier and her beau.

Friday, December 3, 2010

Mr Dashwood and Miss Ayla Dashwood posed for this picture this morning.

This evening we dined at a lovely Oriental establishment in the nearby village.

2 December

Last night Michael was our model.

1 December

It was the Chairperson of our club's birthday today.

And these lights grace the front of Robertshaw Manor.

30 November

One still has some way to go before one's current project has been satisfactorily completed.

Tuesday, November 30, 2010

29 November

Our neighbours have outdone us and have more lights for the season.

Sunday, November 28, 2010

28 November

Of all the body parts, feet seem to be the easiest to do.

27 November

One is developing an idea one had, using polymer clay.

26 November

We had dinner with the Dovers, and then Mr Dashwood and Mr Dover went to a meeting in town together.

Friday, November 26, 2010

25 November

Lady Sarah, Sir Geoffrey and their daughter came to place a decoration upon our yule tree.
Later, we supped in town with a number of acquaintances.

Wednesday, November 24, 2010

24 November

What began as a gorgeous sunrise continued into a grey and gloomy day, and very cold.

Tuesday, November 23, 2010

23 November

In spite of the terrible weather, one must make the most of one's time indoors to begin work on Yuletide gifts.

Monday, November 22, 2010

Sunday, November 21, 2010

21 November

Today we ate brunch at Calamity Jane's, watched the theatrical performance of Unstoppable, and had the Dovers to supper.
We also experienced the first snowfall of the season.

Saturday, November 20, 2010

20 November

It was Mr Winterbottom's birthday, and we attended a lovely party in his honor.

Friday, November 19, 2010

19 November

Occasionally, Mr Dashwood attempts alterations to Robertshaw Manor without the assistance of our man. Miss Dashwood and I always understand that it is best to exercise an aloof mien during these times, and remove ourselves from his sight.

Thursday, November 18, 2010

18 November

Our scheduled model, Zak, did not appear at his appointed hour, nor indeed for the rest of the night. It was up to our host to perform Zak's duties.

17 November

The move complete, there was nothing left but to vent my spleen upon poor unsuspecting Princess Alhanna Starheart.

Tuesday, November 16, 2010

16 November

A day of vexing, if trifling disappointments. Certain members of the club have acted in poor faith, and my position has been compromised as a result. Happily, no difficulties are too difficult to be bourne, and I am convinced my spirits shall be soon lifted and my tranquility restored.
The impending move has already yielded an unexpected find.

Monday, November 15, 2010

15 November

I am reminded that I have a shocking number of tasks to have completed before the Yuletide season is upon us.

Sunday, November 14, 2010

14 November

Mr Dashwood posed for a portrait with Miss Dashwood before joining a friend from the club to view an exhibition in town.

13 November

We were invited to dine at Mr Edgecombe's home, which is currently undergoing alterations, the final results of which I believe will be the utmost of all that is pleasing and charming. Father Ashbury was the other guest, and it was a lovely party.
