29 November

Our neighbours have outdone us and have more lights for the season.

28 November

Of all the body parts, feet seem to be the easiest to do.

27 November

One is developing an idea one had, using polymer clay.

26 November

We had dinner with the Dovers, and then Mr Dashwood and Mr Dover went to a meeting in town together.

25 November

Lady Sarah, Sir Geoffrey and their daughter came to place a decoration upon our yule tree.
Later, we supped in town with a number of acquaintances.

24 November

What began as a gorgeous sunrise continued into a grey and gloomy day, and very cold.

23 November

In spite of the terrible weather, one must make the most of one's time indoors to begin work on Yuletide gifts.

21 November

Today we ate brunch at Calamity Jane's, watched the theatrical performance of Unstoppable, and had the Dovers to supper.
We also experienced the first snowfall of the season.

20 November

It was Mr Winterbottom's birthday, and we attended a lovely party in his honor.

19 November

Occasionally, Mr Dashwood attempts alterations to Robertshaw Manor without the assistance of our man. Miss Dashwood and I always understand that it is best to exercise an aloof mien during these times, and remove ourselves from his sight.

18 November

Our scheduled model, Zak, did not appear at his appointed hour, nor indeed for the rest of the night. It was up to our host to perform Zak's duties.

17 November

The move complete, there was nothing left but to vent my spleen upon poor unsuspecting Princess Alhanna Starheart.

16 November

A day of vexing, if trifling disappointments. Certain members of the club have acted in poor faith, and my position has been compromised as a result. Happily, no difficulties are too difficult to be bourne, and I am convinced my spirits shall be soon lifted and my tranquility restored.
The impending move has already yielded an unexpected find.

15 November

I am reminded that I have a shocking number of tasks to have completed before the Yuletide season is upon us.

Sunday, November 14, 2010

14 November

Mr Dashwood posed for a portrait with Miss Dashwood before joining a friend from the club to view an exhibition in town.

13 November

We were invited to dine at Mr Edgecombe's home, which is currently undergoing alterations, the final results of which I believe will be the utmost of all that is pleasing and charming. Father Ashbury was the other guest, and it was a lovely party.

12 November

Yesterday, Miss Cartier obliged us with a sumptuous lunch to celebrate her newest status at the club.
Farmer O'Meany decided upon two full plates upon which to sup, and appeared in raptures over the quantity of repast he was about to consume.

11 November

Upon our travelling by carriage to the club this morning, I marveled at the lovely display "rosy-fingered Eos", goddess of the dawn, had graced upon undeserving humanity.

In the distance, one can make out the silhouette of Mount Rainier.

10 November

One has not had to deal with so many dead chickens in a very long time.

Our barouche is repaired and returned to us.
This easel arrived by post this evening.

8 November

Proper decorum dictates that our Yuletide lights cannot be put up until 25 of November. But now that the All Hallow's Eve lights have been taken down, we need something to act as a place holder. These quaint lights are just the thing.

The Winterbottoms called on us this evening expecting supper and entertainment, which we endeavored to provide.

Friday, November 5, 2010

5 November

We learned today that our seats at the club were to be moved. Most vexing and inconvenient!

Thursday, November 4, 2010

4 November

We had our barouche taken in for repairs.
Our replacement barouche is remarkably similar:

Zach was once again our model for Wednesday evening drawing.
One wishes one could do him justice.

1 November

Alas, now that All Hallow's Eve has passed, the festive lights must come down.

31 October

Last night was All Hallow's Eve, and Miss Knightly and Miss Basingstoke were kind enough to visit. Miss Knightly is a regular visitor to Robertshaw Manor, and a dear friend. Miss Basingstoke was quite delightful and proved to be lady possessed of an amiable temper, and a quick and engaging mind. Miss Knightly wore a frock that had been stained with the blood of children, and I wore the following:
